AG Kognitive Modellierung

Aims

This group aims to discuss current topics in the field of cognitive modelling to provide an overview of actual approaches in Germany. The members of this group develop and apply methods for user modelling in human-machine systems. The main scope of their research lies on human information processing and goal-oriented behaviour in dynamically changing environments with multiple parallel goals. They build computable models of these processes of different granularity for application in system analysis, evaluation and design.

Keywords: cognitive modelling, information processing, model aided usability engineering support for early design stages.

Applications: engineering of safety critical human-machine systems, adaptive and adaptable interactive software, support systems, model based training.

Domains: automotive, air traffic control, process operation and control, heterogeneous information systems.
